Deputy ADA Coordinator and Assistant Director

Tara Rhea, MPAL, is the Deputy Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Coordinator and Assistant Director of the ADA Coordinator's Office. In her role, Tara is dedicated to promoting the full inclusion of individuals with disabilities and ensuring accessibility across campus programs and activities. She provides expert guidance on disability and access issues, facilitating informed decision-making, conducting compliance reviews and investigations, and developing policies, practices, and training initiatives that foster an accessible environment for all.

Tara also plays a crucial role in educating students, faculty, staff, and visitors about their rights and responsibilities under the ADA, empowering them to navigate the complexities of accessibility with confidence.

Before joining the ADA Coordinator’s Office, Tara served as the Disability Program Manager in the Office of Human Resources, where she specialized in establishing reasonable accommodations for employees. Her earlier experience includes working as a Service Coordinator for the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities, where she supported individuals with developmental disabilities.

A proud, two-time graduate of The Ohio State University, Tara is a Certified ADA Coordinator (ADAC) and a Certified Disability Management Specialist (CDMS).
