Multiple Perspectives 2025
The Twenty Fifth Annual Multiple Perspective On Access, Inclusion & Disability Conference
Foundations and Frontiers
Fifty years ago, President Nixon signed the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 that included Section 504 that propelled access from a benefit to a right of EQUAL ACCESS TO PROGRAMS, BENEFITS & SERVICES.
This coming July will be the 35th Anniversary of President George W. Bush signing the that expanded those rights beyond federally funded programs to broadly ensure INTEGRATION, EQUITABLE TREATMENT, EQUAL OPPORTUNITY, AND INDEPENDENCE.
Last April, during the Multiple Perspectives Conference we learned about the newest addition to the ADA. Building the foundation of the 504 and the ADA in the social and built environments, the Title II amendments focus on the digital environment extending a universal design where information and tools are PERCEIVABLE, UNDERSTANDABLE, OPERABLE, AND ROBUST.
Multiple Perspective’s is celebrating 25 years of exploring the foundations frontiers of access; recognizing disability as integral to the human condition and as a catalyst for technological innovation and societal evolution. Learning from lived experience focused on access, inclusion, and disability.
