Annual Conference

Preconference Institute on E-Text: Production,
Distribution & Management for Accessibility

The Association on Higher Education and Disability (www.ahead.org)  and Ohio State University’s Digital Union (http://digitalunion.osu.edu/)  are sponsoring a unique day and a half  institute on best practices in creating electronic text and working with publishers of academic materials. The presenters will frame "hands on" training in the creation of e-text from print material  with  discussions of current issues and best practices surrounding the production and use of e-text.

Chair, AHEAD E-Text Solutions Group

The training will address the needs of both administrators and practitioners.  Topics include:

• Working with publishers regarding copyright;
• Techniques, formats and resources for conversion from print to digital;
• Policies and procedures to support e-text conversion;
• Managing e-text distribution;
• And more.

Registration is $75 for the E-Text Conference and $150 if combined with registration for the Multiple Perspectives on Access, Inclusion, & Disability conference on April 3-4, 2007.
