Increasingly accrediting agencies and professional associations are encouraging programs to develop technical standards; nonacademic criteria for admission, continued program participation, field work and clinical placements. From the ability to discriminate heart sounds to the ability to comply with professional codes of conduct technical standards focus on the prerequisite abilities for the acquisition and safe practice of professional skills. Learn how to develop, refine and implement technical standards that are compliant with the ADA.
